I'm contemplating using the AN-8 - 120 degree. Can I use standard 3/8" gas line rated hose for the push on end? Is a hose clamp required?

Can this be used with a 16mm/5/8" heater hose? Assuming I will be using hose clamps. I need to adapt the heater hose attachments to my Camaro 2002 V6 engine. I will use male AN10 weld on bungs welded to the engine heater bypass unit.
