First time using this head size fastener that was made of aluminum. First try and the catches broke off. Called the office and they made right of it by sending me another one to replace it. At the price of each fastener , I just wish they were made of steel, that way I know they wouldn't break.

ever had a dzus fastener tear through fiberglass or aluminum panels leaving too big a hole? these large head fastener make it easy to cover up the hole while securing the panel. they look good and save money by not having to replace panels.

Aluminum is a weak material for this application. The first one I installed flared the tangs on the end and then wouldn't even pull back out of the spring mounting plate. Had to reorder as steel.
