good part at fair price
bought this heat shield to use on a powermax mini starter knowing it was not designed for that starter but figuring i would find a way to make it work and i did... took about an hour to modify it to fit and am very happy with the results... i like the double aluminum layers with the insulation sandwiched between... looks way better than the little 'universal fit' foil blankets... and for less $$....

One size doesn't fit all
This shield will control the temperture from the headers to the starter. However, one size doesn't fit all mini starters, as I found out. But, will some creative thought you can make it work as designed.

Did say what starters it would fit. I tied it anyway will not fit the 9112 the back would not match the placement of the bolt holes and front to back it was to long. But I kept it was nicely made so I copied it made my own.

Does not fit onto my 2007 C6 Corvette LS2 Z51 with headers. this hits the headers and you're unable to connect the starter's wires to the starter once this heat shield is on. dont bother and just try and make the heat blankets / heat wrap work

Fits the hitachi style starters well. Shield is way better than the starter blanket wraps on preventing heat soak. Would buy again

No problem with this product, I didn't read the description! The heat shield was for a specific starter and I ordered a different starter! I cut it up and made some sort of a shield with it but it's not really pretty!

Purchased this heat shield for Chevy mini-starter I bought and when received, it did not fit the Chevy mini-starter. No way to know in advance that it would, or would not, fit. Had to return and got burned on restocking fee even though not my fault.
