Learn why using thread sealant is so important in our tech article, Installing New Hardware.

When using on threads for a temperature sensor or sending unit, be sure to use a minimal amount that does not coat the entirety of the threads from the top to bottom of the threads as some applications will require the sensor or sending unit to ground through the threads.  A minimal amount of sealant at the beginning of the threads should adequatly seal but yet retain the necessary ground when required.
