I installed these spherical bushing and tubular trailing arms on a 1985 metric dirt racecar and the first time out in hot laps I made 3 laps before dropping the driveshaft from the rear end, upon inspection I found that the upper trailing arms were dented where the rear end housing mounts had made contact with them, why would this occur? All mounts are in stock location.

I have a G body(1987 SS Monte Carlo), and I'm going to put an 8.5" 10 bolt rear end in it. The upper mounts on the housing are not at the correct angle for the G body, so I need a spherical bushing to make the swap work. Is this bushing the one I need?
