Accel 9070C Details

ACCEL now offers the cure for burnt spark plug wire boots with Extreme 9000 Ceramic Wire kits. The 8mm Ferro-Spiral core wire now has ceramic boots on the spark plug end of the wires. The ceramic boots will withstand up to 2,000 degrees F. If you are running headers with close tolerances, have an engine bay with little room or an RV with boots that melt because of heat, these wire kits are the answer for burnt and melting boots. The wire uses a 500 Ohms/ft Ferro-Spiral core developed for performance use. It provides excellent energy delivery to the spark plugs, while providing the highest level of RFI/EMI suppression. The Extreme 9000 Ceramic Wires also feature stainless steel spark plug terminals for maximum spark energy to the plugs.

These plug wires are truly outstanding. I will recommend these plug wires to anyone who has an LS/LT engine with aftermarket headers. I've tried modifying plug wires and buying different styles; it was a waste of time and a waste of money. These wires are what you need, and here's why. The build quality is exceptional. They look and feel robust and durable. The fit is exquisite. They're cut at the perfect length. And lastly, and most importantly, one end is ceramic-coated. This feature is huge because when you buy aftermarket headers, name brand or not, the stock wires almost always rub up against them. The heat causes your plug wires to melt and deteriorate, which is less than ideal. However, these ACCEL wires are built better; their ceramic coating prevents melting when they inevitably rest against your headers. A wire can't melt or burn when it has a ceramic boot molded to it. My point is, if you have aftermarket headers on an LT or LS engine, save your time, save your money, and buy these.

At first put regular plug wires and they burnt on the headers, then added the heat shields and burnt through on the headers. These will last and should have bought these in the first place.
