About the only way your 97 could have tight butterflies would be if you found a NOS carb somewhere. We have these new throttle plates for those carbs with out-of-round butterflies.

About the only way your 97 could have a tight throttle shaft would be if you found a NOS carb somewhere. Now you can build yourself a dual or triple carb three deuce set-up that will run like new. We offer you these new extended throttle shafts that are .282", which is .005" oversize. You simply run a 9/32" drill bit or reamer through the base plate and you now have a tight carb again.
