Perfect for drivers wanting to swap their heavy stock power steering box and eliminate the power steering pump, this Saginaw manual steering conversion kit is the answer to help shave some unnecessary weight on the dragstrip.

Kit Includes:
- (1) GM 525 Manual Steering Box
- (1) GM 605/525 Pitman Arm
GM 525 Manual Steering Box
Box has a 25:1 ratio (6.25 turns lock-to-lock) with a 3-13/16" long input shaft with 3/4" 30-splines.
- If you turn the input clockwise, the output also turns clockwise.
- Stock specifications on this gear refer to it as 6 rounds lock to lock for a 24:1 ratio.

GM 605/525 Reproduction Pitman Arm
- Center to center: 6.5"
- Hole Diameter: 1.02"
- Spline Count: 32 and 4 master
- Top of Taper: .550"
- Bottom of Taper: .469"
- Degree of Taper: 7°
- Drop: 2.125"
Note: Steering box is not adjusted at the facotry and therefore, it is necessary that the steering box be adjusted upon installation per the instructions as provided on the PDF instruction sheet.
Application
This steering box/pitman arm kit is a direct bolt-on for all G-body cars and is intended for use in drag racing applications.
Fits: 1978-1988 Monte Carlo, Malibu, El Camino, Cutlass, Regal, Grand Prix
In many GM cars, this box is mounted in front of the front suspension, with the pitman arm to the rear. Works well on vehicles weighing over 2500 lbs.
