This Speedway Motors steel oil pan is designed for 1958–1979 Chevy small block V8 engines, including 283, 305, 327, and 350 applications. Built for circle track racing, it combines durable stamped steel construction with reinforced rails to deliver the strength and rigidity needed for demanding race conditions. The zinc-coated finish adds corrosion resistance and gives the pan a clean, functional look suited for both competition and performance street builds.
Engineered with racing oil control in mind, this pan features internal baffling, two trap doors, and a crank scraper with an integrated windage tray. These features help control oil movement during hard cornering, reduce windage, and support more consistent oil management when the engine is under load. Its 4-quart capacity and 8-1/4-inch deep design also make it a good fit for applications where maintaining ground clearance is important.
This Speedway Motors oil pan is a strong choice for racers and builders putting together a serious small block Chevy combination for circle track or other high-performance use. It comes with the internal oil control system pre-installed, but requires a separate oil pump pickup. Fitment should also be reviewed carefully, as it does not fit Chevy Chevelles with steering behind the crossmember, 1962–67 Chevy II Novas, or V8 Vega and Monza models.
