This is the best flaring tool for the money we have found. It has a feed screw with a hardened flaring cone eccentrically mounted in needle bearings which produces a rolling action for even metal flow. This provides uniform wall thickness without galling. It will put a 37 degree flare in 3/16”, 1/4”, 5/16”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8” and 3/4” tubing. We recommend this tool when flaring 3/16” stainless steel brake line.
- Provides smooth, uniform flares with minimum effort
- Feed screw handle requires less motion and effort than standard handle
- Flares steel, stainless steel, hard copper and brass thru wall thickness of .035"

64 Reviews
The reviews highlight that the tool delivers high-quality, perfect 37 degree flares consistently, particularly on stainless steel tubing. Customers commented on its robustness, ease of use, and stated that it performed better than more expensive options. It's also noted that it can be used in situ on vehicles - an advantage over other models which require a workbench setup. Some customers wished it could be disassembled for cleaning and that it came in a hard case, but overall, the tool received strong recommendations for anyone dealing with stainless steel tubing.

nice
Unit is heavy, which is good, all connections are nice and tight. I have flared some 3/8 brake line and it did a very nice job. Have not tried stainless yet but I am confident. Nice product, I am sure it is the last one I will need to buy.

Does not work well with Stainless steel
I bought this tool in March to flare stainless steel brake lines on my hot rod project. The first tool was able to make a half dozen flares before the anvil couldn't be kept tight enough to get a consistent flare. I asked Speedway for a replacement which they happily provided. After flaring 2 more lines and re-flaring a couple lines that were not completely flared, the same problem is occurring. I recommend looking for other choices if you are flaring stainless steel lines. This tool would probably work fine on mild steel but that is just a guess as I didn't use it in this manner.

The tool is for a car that we are working on at the shop and it was delivered to my house I had some tubing at home and made some flares with it and it was a precision tool It was easy to use and made several perfect 37 degree flares In my opinion it's more money than the rest of the ones I've been looking at and far superior than the ones I've been using so I think it's well worth the money spent

Look no further! This flare tool is heavy and has no problem flaring those stainless steel fuel and break lines for your project. Great range of size compatibility for different applications. I used this on some SS 3/8" fuel lines and it worked well.

Used this to flare steel lines at 37 degrees, for AN fittings. The "off center" cone made quick work of burnishing / working the lines for a perfect flare. I have notice that some users have commented about the cone anvil being out of round or mis machined. This is by design and is made to work the tubing into the flare.
