Mate Your Headers to Your Exhaust with Easily Reused V-band Clamping System

The typical 3-bolt header collector has been around decades, and while it is a serviceable connection between your header and exhaust system, anyone that has ever used one knows what a pain they can be. From hardware that strips (or loosens and falls off) to gasket surfaces that require scraping and new gaskets every time you disconnect the exhaust from your headers, it is no wonder that many header manufacturers have updated their header designs to ball socket connections or slip on collectors with retaining tabs. But if your existing headers are of the 3-bolt flange design we have a solution; a 3-bolt header flange that transitions into the popular reusable V-band connection.

Made from mild steel, our 3.0-inch diameter 3-bolt exhaust flange features a reduced 2.50-inch V-band flange outlet for connection to your exhaust or turbo system hot side. Once the V-band weld flange is added to your exhaust it is simply a matter of removing the V-band clamp for disconnection of your exhaust. No more gaskets to scrape and replace, no more exhaust flange bolts or nuts to deal with, just a quick single clamp to remove. V-band flanges are known for being reusable without the need for a gasket, as their design provides perfect alignment between the two flanges every time.

Our 3-bolt exhaust flange transition pipe also includes an oxygen sensor bung pre-installed, saving you time and frustration. The oxygen sensor bung can be used for your EFI system’s wideband oxygen sensor, or the sensor that is included in an air/fuel ratio gauge. Many dyno tuners run a wideband oxygen sensor for dyno tuning as well, so having the O2 sensor bung ready at hand makes things easy. An O2 sensor plug is included for each O2 sensor bung when the bung is not in use or not required, so there’s no need to screw in an old spark plug! Just thread in the included oxygen sensor plug.
