Part broke during assembly.
Applied only moderate pressure in tightening the lines and this part cracked in half. Ordering another part as the first one seems to have been defective. I chalk it up to perhaps the idea that I did use a brake adapter with it, but I feel it still shouldn't have snapped under such little pressure.
