A Bolt-In Bucket Seat Mounting Solution for Your Second Generation C10 Pickup

Classic Chevy trucks were utilitarian work trucks when new and were almost exclusively fitted with a bench seat. Bench seats were a low cost seating solution with nothing more than a seat base, pivoting seatback, and a mounting bracket. Pretty much all the typical delivery or work truck driver would need for a day on the road handling their work route.

Today, however, is a different story. Modern Chevy trucks are more often people movers first and haulers a distant second. Standard today are bucket seats with a console and often such niceties as seat heaters, lumbar support, and more. As our C10 classic trucks start their second, or even third lives as custom cruisers many owners want that same modern bucket seat comfort and looks, but often getting a pair of C10 bucket seats installed where a ’67-’72 C10 bench seat once resided is easier said than done, until now.

For the popular second generation C10 pickup family (including K-series and GMC trucks) you no longer need to break out the drill and modify your cab floor or use a universal C10 bucket seats mounting solution thanks to our direct fit bolt in C10 bucket seats frame kit. Designed and built right here at Speedway Motors from 1-1/4-inch mild steel square tubing for superior strength and support of most any design C10 seats.

It only takes minutes to get rid of your ’67-’72 C10 bench seat and install our new C10 bucket seat swap bracket. Our C10 bucket seat swap bracket accepts most popular C10 bucket seats, such as our line of Procar buckets. Simply order the correct Procar seat sliders for your C10 seats and bolt them down to our bracket! The seat mounting bracket is designed to accommodate the stock ’69-’72 center console, however if you’re looking for something with cup holders the ’73-’80 model console will work just fine as well.

The seats are great . And the mounting bars are great . Fit was perfect. The center console left a lot to be desired. It is a plastic box with no cup holders .

It was very easy to set up, the shipping was fast, and it looks good. Seats are comfortable and gives the truck a sporty look. I don't care for the console. I covered mine in vinyl to match the seats. I'd consider the console with the cup holders if I had it to do again. I ended up patching in some cup holders to replace whatever those are in mine. Phone doesn't fit in them nor do drinks. Frame is bare steel and had to be painted before install; what you might expect at this price point. Good stout hardware, went together well, fit in the truck like a glove.

I ordered the complete bucket seats with console and bracket. It says the sliders need to be ordered separately. My kit came with sliders packaged in with the seats and I also ordered them because of what the instructions says. I would confirm with representative

Questions & Answers

1 Question • 1 Answer

As I was just scrolling thru looking at pictures of this set of bucket seats, I couldn't help but notice that one picture shows the seat with a headrest & another without it? Does this kit not come with the headrests or is the picture without just a means of showing that they're removable? Thanks for your time in advance! Richie D., Libby MT
