The Finishing Touch, A CNC Machined Aluminum C10 Gas Pedal

You no doubt have put a lot of time and effort into the interior of your second gen C10 project. Upgrading the gauges, adding a tilt steering column, fresh carpet, and perhaps even some performance seating. Have you given that tired accelerator pedal any thought? We didn’t think so. Fear not though, as Speedway Motors can provide the finishing touch to your C10 with our line of 1967-1970 Chevy C10 pickup accelerator pedals in brushed, polished, or black anodized 6061 T6511 aluminum. Ditch that tired plastic bottom mount pedal and mechanical throttle linkage for a smooth acting modern accelerator pedal assembly that uses a universal throttle cable.

A Show Winning Finish That Compliments Any Interior Design Theme

No matter your C10’s interior theme, we have an accelerator pedal assembly that will complement it. The standard raw brushed finish of our billet gas pedals provides a classic, but muted, bit of bright aluminum in your driver’s footwell area. The polished accelerator pedal assembly takes the bright finish a step further with a fully polished pedal and swing arm for that in your face “bling” that really pops. Lastly, we offer our C10 gas pedal in a modern black anodized finish for those that like to keep things low key and require a second look from enthusiasts to notice things aren’t exactly stock down there under the dash.

The 1967-1970 C10 uses a mechanical throttle linkage and floor mounted plastic accelerator pedal that isn’t anything special appearance wise. Sure, it works (most of the time) but the second you get into any sort of engine swap, like the popular LS swaps most C10s are seeing these days, or any sort of high performance engine build, the mechanical throttle linkage gets a bit sketchy. Not to mention it flat out won’t work in an LS swap where you need a C10 LS swap throttle cable or other EFI conversion scenario. We’ve seen plenty of mechanical throttle linkages bind up with aftermarket intake/carb setups or with engine swaps that move the mechanical throttle linkage rod outside of its operating window, often causing the throttle to stick. The result can be disastrous with a blown engine and/or runaway vehicle.

Easy Installation Means Less Time in The Garage and More Time on The Road

The Speedway Motors 1967-1970 C10 gas pedal conversion utilizes the factory firewall mounting holes for mounting. The included hardware sandwiches the firewall between the accelerator pedal mount pad and firewall trim plate for a strong and secure assembly. No new holes are required, though two of the three factory accelerator pedal holes will need to be drilled out to a larger opening. The splined pivot shaft of the C10 gas pedal assembly provides adjustable pedal height/angle for driving comfort and to ensure your carburetor or EFI throttle body achieves 100 percent opening. These billet gas pedals use standard aftermarket throttle cables, which mount through a factory stamped firewall hole, so there is no need for additional visible holes to be made. We offer cut-to-fit throttle cables compatible with this accelerator pedal assembly for carbureted and popular fuel injection applications.

If you’re looking for custom gas and brake pedals, we offer matching brake pedal pads, both automatic and manual versions, along with clutch pedal pads, and even a parking brake pedal pad are all available separately. This is the way to go if you want to mix and match finishes. For example, black anodized brake and clutch pedal pads, but a brushed finished accelerator pedal. Additionally, we offer complete accelerator pedal and brake/clutch pedal pad kits with the parking brake pad as well in matching finishes for those that want all their pedals in the same finish for their 67-70 C10 build project.
