Drop Your C10 Correctly Without Losing Ride Quality or Handling
If you wind the clock back to the 1940s and through most of the 1980s, your typical full size pickup truck was designed, built, and used for hauling. Be it delivering products, hauling equipment on a trailer, or just being the trusty farm truck that many of you probably learned to drive with on your grandparents back forty, the humble pickup was never really thought of by the Big Three as a cool ride that could be hot rodded. They were sold as workhorses and that’s what they did. That is until second, and now third generation family members are pulling these old trucks out of their barn-induced hibernation and turning them into some sweet rides to go cruising Main Street USA.
One of the first things classic truck owners do is give their ride an altitude adjustment by dropping it a few inches. The lowered ride height not only looks perfect, but leveling the truck takes a lot of the “work truck” look out of the equation. Not to mention, the lowered stance helps with handling and traction as well. Chevrolet’s immensely popular classic C10 pickup is super-hot with all manner of drivetrain upgrades, interior updates, and more available. Our C10 rear lowering kit 5-inch drop springs provide that extreme lowering look while being a direct replacement and retaining the stock-like spring rates. Our C10 lowering springs are easy to install, include the rear spring retainers and a pair of CPP’s Black Magic nitrogen gas filled lowering shocks. A few hours with a pal and some hand tools and you’ll have your C10 hitting the road looking on point and ready for the next upgrade.
Quality Coil Springs and Retaining Hardware Make Your C10 Drop Easy
Our Chevy C10 lowering kit springs feature high grade steel construction. The rear springs in our C10 lowering kit utilize a .600-inch diameter wire (that’s just under 5/8-inch). These rear springs are also designed at a fixed rate and come in at 300 lb/in for a 5-inch drop in the rear of your C10, which levels these trucks out nicely when paired with a set of front lowering springs in the 2- to 3-inch range. The free height of our rear springs comes in at 9-inches. The springs ship with a long-lasting gloss black powder coat that will go with any suspension/body/frame color and make the springs easy to keep clean and looking good. The included rear spring retainers ship in primer, ready for your finish painting, powder coating, or other surface protection, and include all new Grade 8 mounting hardware so you don’t have to worry about trying to clean up decades-old hardware with rusty threads or other damage to them. Due to the extreme drop of our rear springs we highly recommend installing a C-notch kit at the same time to provide plenty of frame clearance.
We offer several C10 lowering kits with different drop levels and additional components like shocks, a track bar, and more. Our C10 lowering kit 2/4 drop springs, shocks, and relocation brackets is just one of the many kits we have for the popular Chevy C10 drop kit category. Of course, we also have a full line of sway bars, bushings, and more to completely revamp your suspension while you’re creating your lowered C10 project.
Factory Like Ride with Better Road Feel Thanks to dedicated lowering Shocks
We have added CPP’s Black Magic nitrogen gas shocks. Charged with 180 psi of nitrogen gas, these shocks offer quick response to road imperfections, keeping the rear suspension planted, which helps with traction and cornering, while providing a calm, stock like ride quality.
Our rear shock relocation brackets reduce the installed shock angle, rotating the shock to a more vertical mounting position, which provides for more shock travel and better handling. The brackets are black powder coat finished and include Grade 5 mounting hardware. Simply grind/drill out the rivets retaining the factory rear shock brackets and bolt these brackets into place on the rear axle and frame crossmember for an easy upgrade. We recommend these brackets for any C10 that is lowered three or more inches in the rear. New U-bolts are not included but are available separately to replace old or damaged hardware.
Keep it On the Straight and Level with An Adjustable Trac Bar
Our Chevy C10 deluxe lowering kit also includes a fully adjustable replacement trac bar for your truck. This trac bar is not only longer than the stock piece but includes polyurethane bushings at each end to reduce deflection and keep your axle assembly centered. We relocate the axle mount to the passenger side control arm with the included bracket. A matching shim is used on the driver’s side control arm to keep your axle assembly and ride height level from side to side. Fully adjustable, the longer bar allows easy adjustment and centering of your rear axle and retains the stock frame mounting point while reusing your stock mounting hardware.
A DIY Project Easily Accomplished with Hand Tools
Dropping your C10 with our C10 lowering kit 5-inch coil springs is a great basic project for a Saturday afternoon with age-appropriate kids or grandkids to help sling some tools with. Using nothing more than hand tools, a floor jack, and some jack stands (don’t forget the tire chocks for additional safety!) you can knock out this spring and shock swap in just a couple of hours. The rear springs practically fall out once you take the weight off them and unbolt the spring retainers. The shocks are simple nut and bolt work as well. This is a project that will net you better handling and that perfect down low ride height that will make your C10 stand out. Best of all, you know it’s done right because you’re doing it yourself!

Customers highly appreciate the product for its superior quality, perfect fit, and durability. Its feature as a straight-up bolt-on fit with a ford 9", is a standout. The product enhances ride height and offers a sporty, comfortable ride, a strong upgrade from heated springs. Although it doesn't come with all new hardware, it outshines competitors in terms of convenience and usability. Even installed on rusty trucks, its sturdy construction and quality material remain evident. Although a discrepancy exists in fitment for C20 models, customers are generally pleased and ready to purchase again.

Kit worked good and everything fit like it was supposed to. This is all CPP parts, and they do not include instructions for anything. Only problem i ran into is if you mount your shock relocation brackets for the top backwards, your shocks will be about 2" too short, flip them around, they'll go either way.

Panhard Bar doesn't fit C20. The rear end is larger on the C20, you'll need a curved bar. Everything in the kit is great quality with no fitment issues. Note, if your truck is super rusty you're going to break or cut most of the old hardware. The new trackbar/ panhard bar doesn't come with all new hardware so take care not to damage the upper but and bolt.

This was perfect for my 67 c10. I also put 1" blocks on it for a fantastic ride height. The springs are strong enough to hold a sporty ride but don't beat you to death. I did c notch the frame.

Great lowering kit. Mine came as a CPP brand. Ride is great especially since the P.O. had heated springs for drop. No c-notch have about 2-2.5" of clearance from axle to bumpstops. Great price and great kit!
