Our dropped axles for your classic Ford F1 pickup will get the front end down where you want it. The center portion of the axle is made of 2" DOM tubing while the ends are CNC milled from solid steel. These axles give you 3" of drop on the 48-56 chassis.  Tie rod drops required, U-bolts sold separately.

Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate our product for its performance and easy replacement features. The product has proven to work impeccably, with users willing to repurchase if necessary. It fares well in comparison to the competition, particularly in the application, with some even praising its perfect performance. However, a few customers mentioned issues with spindle fitting and recommended some machining for a better fit. Some users also suggested an improvement in workmanship, particularly in the welds and machining quality of the axle ends. Nevertheless, customers consider the product as a decent piece for the money and appreciate its right alignment, eliminating the need for extra alignment work in the shop. The product provides an impressive drop effect on trucks, contributing to an overall satisfactory experience. However, the inclusion of U-bolts in the package appeared to be a welcome suggestion. Despite a few minor improvements, our product has a record of great fit and performance and is endorsed for repeated use.

I used it in a 1933 Hudson Essex coupe, with a few modifications to fit. Installed a mustang II rack and pinion on it. The steering works great with no bump steering as the rack moves with the axle.

Same problem wiht spindles not fitting over after market axel you will have to go to a machine shop and make them fit. And I got the 2 inch dropped tie rod ends and with the drag link they will not have enough clearance under the leafs. I talked to the techs, i do have videos on you tube of the install.

Truck sits great, but had to rework to make fit.

I put this on my 1951 F-1, Would have taken about 3 hours, but...... The U-bolt holes were a bit to small for my U-bolts to fit through, I opened them up, no big deal. When installing the spindles I found that the axle ends were to tall and needed to machine down about 10 to 15 thousands. When all done, it dropped the truck 3" total, looks great.

I would have liked to see better appearing welds. Workmanship needs improvement. The machining quality of the axle ends could have been better. I had to have the axle ends re-machined so the spindles would fit over the ends. Maybe a "second pass" or "spring pass" is in order when machining the ends.

Decent piece

Part was delivered quick, but had some clearance issues with my stock spindles and such. Seems to be aligned right, so I don't think I'll have to take the truck to the shop for an alignment.. For the money not a bad piece, but I wish it would have come with u bolts included.
