I'll preface with the obvious "every build is different". 1949 3100. Stock frame. This crossmember was too much drop to mount to bottom of frame so modification was made to allow it to sit inside the frame, and up about an inch. The crossmember could be 1/4" narrowed and would be more versatile. The crossmember fit with the underfloor vac assist brake master cylinder

Installed on custom 50 chevy pickup with TKX 5 transmission, was well thought out custom cross member, fit within chassis, bends allow for exhaust clearance, I did have to build 1.5 inch risers for connecting to frame but that was expected for my particular set up, speedway motors has been a good partner in my parts need!

Installing a T5 conversion into my '51 AD and decided to go ahead and install a support while under there for an extra $150 and hour of work....Unsure of fit at the moment but the quality is top notch with very good welds. My needs are not critical for this item, so I am happy with what it is.

Do they make a transmission crossmember that works when you install a frame mount brake booster. The booster hang down below the frame so unless a crossmember drop below it won't work.
