I installed these vertically, on a my 47 kaiser street rod project. Due to the contour of my fenders, I added a 3/8" D rubber seal (self stick) to the back of the supplied gaskets to form a tight seal. That worked out great. The glass lense allows these lights to be very bright. I don't think you can find a better price for these High Quality tail lights.

I purchased these to flush mount on the back of old truck. Overall Quality of manufacture and design was fair, about what I expected for an economy priced item. The recesses for the tangs on the 1157 lamps were not very crisp and tended to not secure the lamps very snugly. The primary issue I had was over the red glass lenses. They were clearly manufactured to different standards ( left v.s. right) resulting in one side much brighter than the other. Initially, I though it was the voltage to the lams or the effectiveness of the ground circuit. But no, one lens was much lighter shade of material. I remedied the situation by purchasing P/N 91062195 lens. I suppose I should have spent more in the beginning. I do not recommend this part.
