extremely nice, very bright
If you own the '38 '39 tailights with the stamped SS bezel you are going to have problems with the lense to bezel fit, the lamp base that you put in the socket has a sharp edge that you have to grab on to and is difficult to turn. that said, there are chrome cast bezels and bezel to body gaskets made spefically for these lamps available and you can either modify your current lamp bucket or drill two new holes.

think again !!! Not what they seem !!!
I bought these LEDs because I wanted to be seen at night. The LEDs are incredibly bright but they are directional. If you mount them on a '39 the beam goes up at a 30 degree angle. A friend drove my car the other night and I followed. I was SHOCKED that I couldn't see the car AT ALL !!! The beam is like a laser and that beam is pointing up. Also you can't see the light from the sides. TEST THESE OUT YOURSELVES. I thought these were going to be safe. I have removed mine and gone with an H1157 bulb

These lights went on the back of my 32 to replace existing blue dots. Had to grind some material off the back to allow for clearance of my existing mounting bolt. All in all I was happy on how they fit.

my '39 tailight assy.(Vintique) has a different bulb recepticle than needed for these led lens to work. the bulb receptacle has the slots for the bulb plug in pins at the same level rather than staggered as required for the LED assy. My light unit also has a separate bulb for brake light? What do I need to change?
