I would buy this product again if needed.

Used this ring and pinion set up in my 1940 Mercury sedan. Went together with no problems and seems to be the right gear ratio for cruising on the highway @ 65 to 70 MPH.

Extreamly high quality

I was afraid of sloopy machining. Everything fit perfect. High quality parts.The car pulls op my steep drive in second. The gears do not make any sound at all.

Can now cruise.

Changing to the 3.25 gears was great. I can now cruise on the highway without the engine screaming Away.

Works perfect

Installed this gear set in a completely stock 85 HP 1937 ford two door sedan several moths ago. In Wi. we have lots of hills and valleys this gear works just fine if its driving on the interstate at 65 MPH or country roads at 55 MPH. Pulls very good at low speeds in third gear thru towns and runs about 2,400 Rpm on the interstate at 65 with 29 inch rear tires. Install was not difficult and it was changed out in less than a weekend.

We wanted our 36 Ford Carbolet to run a little better on the highway for road rallies. I called Speedway and theysaid the 3:25 was the right gearing. We had a 4:11 and Ford at one time offered a 3:27. So we put one in the car. Since then we have equiped over 6 of our Fords with the 3:25. The gearing is just right for the flat head V-8. If you have 48 Ford or earlier and want to drive on the highway atabout 60 MPH the 3:25 is your gear. Joe Floyd

Great Quality Gearing

The quality of these gears is outstanding,much better than I expected. They must be computer generated. The bearing fits were exact except for the outboard fit on the pinion shaft. The bearing on this fit must be able to slip (snug slip fit) so you can adjust the preload on this double bearing. I had to chuck the pinion shaft in my lathe and very carefully remove 0.0015" with a piece of fine emery cloth. The results of this gear change (From 3.78:1 to 3.25:1) have made a great difference in the "roadability" of my flathead powered, 28 Model A High-Boy roadster. The RPMs have dropped from 65MPH @ 3000RPM to 65MPH @ 2600RPM.
