Just a bung, BUT... Warning!!! This is plain steel which is WHAT YOU WANT... Stainless Steel galls at high temperatures and you will never get your sensor out. Use lots of never-seize and loosen and re-apply every oil change.

The bung welded fine, but the threads were terrible before I welded it in. It did work since I ran a tap through it after welding it in, but I'm guessing most people don't have an 18mm tap just sitting around.
