Zip riser runs a mechanical fan on small block Chevy

I bought three items: the Zip riser, Chevy 6 cylinder water pump and a shim kit. I had a Zip on a previous '32 roadster and it allowed me to raise the fan line about 5 inches, centering it in the radiator. I then used a flex fan and a shroud I made to make my 383 run cool in all weather. I like the idea of using a mechanical rather than an electric fan on an old school hot rod. I'm building a new '32 roadster and will use the Zip riser on it. I also like that the casting quality is good enough to clear coat to feature it, or paint it to subdue it. I like the built in alternator mount too. I'm not using AC so the AC mount won't be used. It's a good idea to drill a small bypass hole in the thermostat to let captured air escape. The Zip has a small screw at the top to bleed off captured air (a must). The screw is easy to drop and lose. A brass air bleed off valve is available from GM pt# 10070107. You will have to drill out the hole and tap it to 1/8"pipe thread.

Where's the directions?

The water pump riser serves its purpose perfectly and looks great. The accessories that came with the water pump riser are subpar. The brackets were pitted and tarnished, the spacers were very light weight and where are legible directions?

This allows the use of a mechanical fan - centers it on the radiator and makes easy lower radiator hose fitment. Also gives an alternator bracket if you don't have accesory bolt holes in your heads

Has anyone tried or does anyone know if the Zips riser is compatible with the RamJet fuel injection system? (And yes, I know the RamJet is supplied with a long pump which must be replaced with a short 250 six cylinder pump, so please don't nag me about that.) Based on photographs, it looks as though a little grinding just might be all it takes.

I want to put this riser on my build but need to know if it will work with a power steering pump. Not sure what pump i will end up using it needs to be located above the lower pulleys, was think of the type 2 pump mounted on the head.

What is the finish on the riser? Does it come in a polished or chrome plated option? I am using a crate small block chevy in my truck. The center of the pump shaft now lies in the lower 1/3 of the radiator and this kit will solve my cooling problems. I know I can get a Tuff Stuff chrome plated water pump for this installation but the alternator and air-conditioning compressor are all polished or plated and I would like to stick with this theme.
