Drill oversized holes.

December 18, 2014
Drill bit is not the right size. I used a drill press to assure the best possibility of success. Wheel studs fall past knurl when incerted in hole. Speedway customer service has offered to replace the bit with a new one. I will review the replacement when I receive it. My advice is to test drill one hole in a scrap piece before drilling out you axles and rotors. I drilled my first hole in my rotor. That was a big mistake on my part.
No, I would not recommend this product.

Terrible and disappointing.

July 04, 2014
I ordered two just in case one happened to break as I was trying to get my race car ready for the weekend, but these things would not go through hot butter. Very disappointed with these. Expected better from Speedway.
No, I would not recommend this product.

Drill bit was bent

May 09, 2014
Bit was bent. Drilled five holes in my rotor and the holes were too big. Studs fell in without needing to be pressed. rotor was secured in a vice on my drill press. so it wasnt the result of my equipment. Ruined a new rotor. Tried to tack weld the studs but weld wont stick to the rotor material. Now I have five junk studs and a junk rotor. Spend the extra money and buy a better bit is my recommendation. Ive never had an issue with any other item from Speedway.
Pros:
  • none in my case
Cons:
  • i think the bits are cheaply made
No, I would not recommend this product.
