Overall Assessment

Customers consistently appreciate this Spring Compressor for its practical functionality, usability, and overall quality. Its excellence in making challenging tasks manageable is noteworthy, supporting quick and efficient valve spring replacements. Despite some minor modification requirements and initial bending issues among less robust models, most users lauded its ease of use and durability. Users highlighted how the tool simplifies tasks deemed complex, transforming them into one-person jobs. Customers recommended it over older models and competitors, commending its robust design, adjustable positions, and distinctive handle. Although users suggested improvements in the material quality of specific parts, they overwhelmingly marked it as a must-have addition to their toolbox.

Best Tool for Engine IN and OUT of the car

I used this to replace the springs for the SBC350 in my 1973 Nova. It's helpful that the handle pivots so that you can compress the spring from just about any angle. Had to get creative on cylinder 7 as its a tight space with the brake booster/master cylinder. Overall I was able to use this to complete the whole job with the engine still in the car.

Works but needed to modify

I had to bend fork flat rather than angle it comes in. The tool does work but i think it would be better on heads with hardened rocker studs. I used this on advanced auto parts stock reman sbc 350 engine. For the price tool works.

Solid tool but had to bend the fork part slightly to get the best angle. This made changing out the valve springs easy without pulling the heads. The handle rotates which means you can use it in any direction. I used this on a 1973 nova with a 350.

Changed springs on 602 crate motor. Works decent but does push the spring to one side making retainer clips a little hard to reinstall.

I couldn't imagine trying to tackle the job of replacing my valve seals with the heads on the motor and in the car without this tool. I'm sure I'll be lending it out to my buddies.
