Answer this question
A:
Standard bear jaw latches are an easy solution for worn out original latches on a multitude of passenger vehicles and trucks. They provide a solid and safe latch mechanism that will not allow the door to open in case of body flex or twist. On a Model A roadster the standard latch would work but with the limited depth of the door shell, the Slimline Latch (p/n 91052862) may give a more user friendly application. The Model A has a metal shell and would not require the mounting latches in most cases. Suggested additional parts would be the striker pin number 91052863 and also the cage nut number 91052867 for ease of mounting and to allow for door adjustment in and out plus up and down. Please note that if you decide to go with the standard bear jaw latch the striker pin p/n would be 91052861 and the cage nut p/n would be 91052869.
Q:
Does this latch have provisions for a lock? Or would the lock have to be incorporated into the handle?

Answer this question
A:
The Bear Jaw latches do not have a built in lock option and this would need to be incorporated in the handle or linkage mechanism.
