The stock "bushing" type king pins and bushings were fine on your old '37-'41 Ford car when it had drum brakes and only ran 50 mph. But now you've put an 11" disc brake kit and 400hp to the old girl. The upper king pin bushings take a tremendous amount of abuse and wear from added strain. "Royal" king pin kits feature dual needle bearings at both top and bottom and stainless steel king pins.

  • Needle bearings eliminate excessive steering wear on older brass bushings
  • Easy to install and includes the special tool required
  • No machining required
  • Made in the U.S.A.

Priced fair, this kit is like adding power steering.

Simply the best

By Blacksun from Kingwood, Texas on 11/8/2010
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Ordered this to replace the old kingpins in my 23 T. What a difference from the old brass bushings to the new needle bearings.

not exactly as advertised, but a quality

By millersgarage from Lansing, MI on 3/26/2012

I was disapointed when the kit arrived, it was advertised as being all stainless and chrome. The stainless is not polished, and the grease zerks-which are right on top now- are gold cad plated. The threaded inserts to fill the old zerk holes are also not stainless. It went together well, a bit tight, but that may be because of my chrome spindles. All the bearings are USA made, which was a welcomed surprise. When it was fully assembled, the steering was tighter than I thought it would be from the advertised "power steering" feel. I have only put a few miles on them so far, so I cannot give a full review of their performance.

Service & Delivery comments:

shipping was fast as always, the kit was missing a few small items, and instructions, but the Customer Service reps took care of that quickly.
