    Replacement for '74 - '80 Pinto/Bobcat and '74 - '78 Mustang II. Accepts Wilwood brake kits if you drill/tap 1 hole per spindle.

Our Mustang II spindles are constructed from 1045 heat-treated alloy steel. Retains absolute stock factory geometry and uses all stock rotors, bearings, calipers, etc., making it easy to install.

Note: If using OEM caliper brackets, slight modification of the spindle and/or the caliper bracket is required. (Additional clearance between the spindle and caliper bracket is required.)

Mustang II suspension installed in 33 Chevy. Very little clearance from rim to grease fitting and car sat high in front. These spindles solved the problem.

Disappointing Quality

Very rough casting
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

If you care at all about how a spindle looks, forget this one. It is the roughest casting I have ever come in contact with - there are ridges and depressions exceeding 3/16" - took 4 hours of grinding to get an acceptable looking spindle ready to paint. The price is right if you don't care about looks - but 90% of the time, if one is buying a 2" drop spindle, one cares about looks. Casting is so rough, it makes me wonder about it's structural integrity. We'll find out how strong it is.

In your note there are modifications required using OEM calipers with drop spindle. What modifications are required to the drop spindle and/or the OEM brake caliper? I have this scenario. I can't mount the rotor with the caliper installed. Thanks.

I bought these spindles, but now need to know what ball joints they call for? Does it call for the standard 1974-1980 Pinto upper/lower Balljoint? 1974-1978 Mustang II will work as well, or no? Also, these are front steer spindles, right, or no?
