What's in the Box

This 1-1/2" inline hose adapter allows you to put a radiator fill cap inline. Use a bleeder valve to get all air out. 

Note:  You must use a Stant brand radiator cap in conjunction with this filler neck, such as # 910-15706.

My top radiator hose was above the radiator and I couldn't fill the radiator all the way. With this in line cap kit I was able to fill the hose too, thus assuring me that the system was full. Does not come with bleeder valve if you need one.

I have a 65 vette, I have owned this car for many years. I have never been able to bleed all the air out of the cooling system until I hooked up one of these.. It did a great job, no air in the system , runs A LOT cooler. Wish I would have just done this years ago. I give it a 10.

The only cap I offer that fits this filler neck correctly is part number 91015706 and it is a 21 to 25 pound cap. You may want to check into some of Stant's other offerings that would be the same dimensionally as that cap but has a lower pressure rating. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Select which cap you want to relieve and put a lower pressure rated cap on it. So, if you do not want this one relieving, put a higher rated cap on it. Look for a pressure difference between the caps of at least 2psi to assure the one you want to relieve goes first. If the pressure ratings are too close, small manufacturing differences could allow the wrong one to relieve. Another option is to use a splicing tube (no cap) with small threaded fitting for air removal instead of this unit. Speedway has the splicing tubes with tapped holes as well.

For your situation I recommend that you run a HIGHER pressure radiator cap (higher than the pressure rating of the cap you want to be the regulator of your system) in the location that you DO NOT want to pop off. The lower-pressure rated cap will be the one that pops off first and thus will be the one that controls the system pressure-whatever location you put it in. I might suggest a high-pressure cap like our 106-80153 for the don’t-pop-off position, and our 910-15606 for the lower pressure location.

REGULAR CAP YOU HAVE TO REALLY PRESS HARD TO GET PAST THE SECOND RAMP SO IT SEALS PROPERLY. ITS HARD TO DO BUT WORKS GREAT....
