Just what you need when installing a cheapo wireing kit.
I am rewiring a 47 GMC five window pickup. And l just needed a simple wireing harness for the time being l may upgrade later. If you buy one of the no name cheapo wireing kits all you get is paper packing no useable instructions ( Chinglish translated to Cyrillic) this is a good little book to help with rough spots on the install. The book would be good to have on the shelf any time you need to dig into car electrical componants switches, lights, etc.

Wiring systems made clear
With the advent of wiring companies like Ron Francis, EZ, Painless, etc, not many people wire their vehicles from scratch anymore but this book is worth getting for several reasons. First, if you work on old hot rods like I do, it is very helpful in explaining how some of the old buggies are wired. For example, I'm working on a 23T bucket now that was built back in the 1970s and until I got this book, I was lost when it came to trying to figure out the wiring system in this 23T. Whoever wired this T must have read this book because just about every circuit in the 23T matches up with what is in this book. Second, it helps to understand how current wiring products from the above makers came to be and the evolution process that brought us to where we are today. I highly recommend anyone that works on hot rods get a copy of this book for their reference library.

I kept hearing about this book and finally bought it. In the middle of wiring my project. I thought it would give me some insight about how to make it all make sense. I was in disbelief when I got through the book. Upon evaluation I had to scratch my head and walk away. Still glad to have it. Not sure where I can use it now.

Will this manual offer specific info. about installing the wiring harness in the 23 Bucket T I've built from the ground up? I have the harness, but the instructions have escaped since they were purchased sometime between 1989 and 2002.
