Speedway Motors 91012910 Details

Fuel level gauges are designed to work with specific sending units that vary from one automobile or gauge manufacturer to another. Some increase resistance from Empty to Full, while others decrease as the level goes up. For a builder updating their vehicle with new gauges, this presents a problem in that the aftermarket gauges must match the sending unit located in the tank. This module will allow you to use your stock sender with any fuel gauge. You no longer have to remove the tank to add a separate sending unit or modify the sending unit that comes with a aftermarket gauge set.

  • Simply wires in-line between your gauge and existing sender
  • Allows you to use your stock sender with any fuel gauge
  • No need to remove the tank to add a separate sending unit
  • 12 Volt-Negative Ground application only

Only thing of its kind!

I searched everywhere for this type of product. I have a 0-90 ohm fuel sending unit in my 1965 impala. I was trying to get it to sync to a new autometer quad guage. I looked for hours on other sights and even went to another companies store (a large national miscle car parts company) and tied up three people looking for a product like this. Even had the head parts manager at this store stumped. I located this item on my phone while they looked for almost an hour. I purchased this item and it worked flawlessly. Easy to install, easy instructions and my fuel guage works great now. Thanks speedway.

Didn't work for my situation.

I installed a UMA Aviation Fuel Gauge (270 degree sweep) in a 1979 International Harvester Scout II. I wanted to use the original 0 - 90 Ohm sending unit as the gas tank is difficult to remove to replace the original sending unit. I trialed the Interface Unit and could not get it to work correctly. Ultimately I replaced the 0 - 90 Ohm sending unit with a Stewart Warner 340-33 Ohm sending unit to get the gauge to work correctly. The Interface Unit may work with more standard gauges but it didn't work with this aviation gauge.

I first installed one of these almost a decade ago on my street rod to correct an inaccurate fuel gauge and loved it. Last year I rebuilt the car and rewired it and could not get the gauge calibrated correctly. I lost the original instructions and the newer ones instructions didn't work on the old one so i couldn't troubleshoot where the issue was. I bought a new unit, calibrated it and am back in business. I also have another car I tried to fix an inaccurate fuel gauge using a meter match and never could get it to read accurately. I bought another speedway unit for that car and now it works great.

First off, this is a great product designed to work with analog gauges, and for that, it is great. However, if you want to use this as a gauge/sensor input on for an ECU or digitally controlled dash/gauge, you may have issues. You must be able to average the reading. Once it is averaged, it is a great unit for a gas gauge.

Glad I got it.

Does this allow you to select ohms on the gauge then take the signal in from the sender and convert it to different ohms the gauge will read? Also, will it convert a 9-97 resistance to a 0-90?
