This is the slickest thing we've seen in years. This adjustable box simply uses your electric temperature gauge as the sending unit to control your cooling fan. Features a built-in 30 amp relay to provide maximum power to your fan and it comes with a tiny LED lamp to let you know when the fan is running plus a fuselink to protect the wiring between the temperature control unit and the fan.

This works great. So much so, that I've used it in two hot rods, and plan to buy another soon for a mini truck build. Only small complaint is the location of the main power wires on the front of the box. It makes the whole thing bulkier than it needs to be, and thus install more difficult in tight spaces. I would love to see the main power wires just run with the rest of the harness. Maybe with a few feet of pigtail.

Module installed, works great. Fan comes on when it should and off when cooler. Lighting is great, one thing I would suggest is having two separate lights for people like me who are color blind. It is difficult to tell the difference especially when direct or indirect sun shines on the unit. I would recommend moving the plug in wires to the back of the module. I do recommend this module to anyone.

Some companies say I should have a 40 amp relay to run a cooling fan, but this controller only uses a 30 amp relay. I'm going to be using a 16" diameter fan. Is the 30 amp going to be enough ?

I don't have AC. Will this work on my roadster? I only have one easy access probe outlet and it's used by my temp gauge. Considering a Spal VA18-AP71/LL-59A * 16"C/12V. If temp gauge sender fails...No reading AND no fan? If good product, it will keep me from adding a thermostat housing with an outlet. Would be nice to have a downloadable PDF install manual so I wouldn't have to bother people.
