What's in the Box

If your class does not allow a grand national rear end this is your best choice. These housings have new centerless ground 3" tubes installed in reclaimed original Ford 9" housings and have the end and metric brackets jig welded in place. We offer this housing with either centered or 2" offset to the right pinion locations. Works great with Currie cut-to-fit axles. Axles sold separately. IMCA Approved.

These heavy duty rear control arms are much stronger than stock stamped arms and help control wheel hop. Can be used with Speedway polyurethane bushings or stock-style bushings such as Moog K-6178.

Note: The lower control arms in these kits do not have provisions for mounting a factory sway bar.

Available options include machining of the yoke to accept Chevy/GM U-joint (add 91048339) and lightening of the ring gear to remove weight (add 91600013; 5.37:1, 6.66:1, 6.83:1, 7.00:1 ratios are already lightened).

Currie 9+-98126 9 Inch Ford Cut-To-Fit 31 Spline Axle, 26 Inch
                        

These axles have 4" of spline which will allow you to cut a maximum of 3" of the spline off to obtain the correct length. This is perfect for small shops and will allow you to build your own custom width rear end easily. Axle length is measured from the flange to the end of the splines. All CTF axles come with a full installation package which includes one set of five 1/2"-20 Ford style wheel studs, one set of five 7/16"-20 Chevy style wheel studs, one set-20 tapered roller bearing with race, seal, & collar, and one heavy duty late model large bearing style retainer plate.

GM 1978-88 G-Body Lower Rear Control Arm
                        

These heavy duty rear control arms are much stronger than stock stamped arms and help control wheel hop. Can be used with Speedway polyurethane bushings or stock-style bushings such as Moog K-6178.

  • Much stronger than stock stamped arms
  • 19-1/2" center to center
  • Does not include bushings
  • Use 91634045 polyurethane bushings
  • No provision for factory style sway bar on lower arms
  • Lower Arms: 19-1/2"

Note: Measurements are center to center of the bushings.

Bushing installation note:  The bushing eyelets have a stepped inside diameter.  This requires the bushings to be installed into one specific side of the arm which has the larger inside diameter as compared to it's opposite side.  The bushing will not properly fit if it is started into the smaller, incorrect side of the bushing eye ring.
