Replace the questionable stock front suspension in your Chevy II Nova with a world-class Mustang II front end. This rugged Mustang II crossmember is constructed of 7 gauge steel and allows you to directly bolt on a no-strut Mustang II IFS, rack & pinion steering, and upgraded brakes. Included in this subframe kit is all the special, hard-to-make brackets and mounts you will need to complete the installation into your 1962-67 Chevy II Nova, plus detailed installation instructions.
- Mustang II IFS kit to get a complete "hub to hub" front suspension.

Note:
- Additional items may be needed to complete installation. You may want to include our Mustang II ride height adjusters (91034444) for installation with these crossmembers to fine tune your final ride height up to 2".
- Works with tubular offset or no-strut control arms only. We do not recommend the use of 5/8" narrowed control arms with this subframe to prevent spring to frame rail interference.
- When using this crossmember with our "power" steering rack, you may also need (2) rack spacers (9101023). (These spacers are included with our Mustang II suspension kits.)

Customers appreciate our product's potential with minor adjustments. Its quality allows for a significant upgrade from older strut shock towers, even requiring some customization to fit properly. The product features adjustable heights through coil-over shocks, offering great value for its price. Some customers have mentioned some inconsistencies in construction, such as control arm mount alignment and the need for cleanup on some MIG welds. Nevertheless, once installed, it vastly improves the appearance and functionality of the car compared to factory parts.

This product is a little under fabricated. incomplete welds, if built in a fixture, they should throw the fixture away and start over! I had to cut off one of the spring/shock supports to move it 1/8 in. to square the tracking.....Lucky for me I'm a welder at my job, so I was able to correct it myself! Others may experience a shimmy in they're steering. This may be made in China, not sure! but whoever builds them aren't proud cuz I didn't see any manufacturer's brand or stamp. Oh ya! I had to use a port-o-power to open the rails up to install bolts! Over-all I say it's workable but not for the entry level builder..save ur money and get the real deal.

For the price it is a great way to convert from the old strut shock towers. There are some tweaks required to assemble; weld in motor mounts, shim upright supports to get it aligned with the body straight. I had to spread the frame slighlty (porta-power) to align the bolts to the chasis. Be prepared to fully assemble (including the motor / trans) then disassemble to powdercoat or paint. Then reassemble, and the final result is great. I added the coil over shocks to adjust ride height.

INSTRUCTIONS have nothing to do with front clip. The right control arm mount is 1/8" behind left mount. Will need some body filler to clean up some of the MIG welds, the TIG welds are nice. If your car isn't bend or wrecked it should be a simple bolt in and look much cleaner than the factory junk.
