Titans Digital Torque Adaptor

Titan Tools has brought a neat little unit to the toolbox yet again with their 1/2” Drive Digital Torque Adaptor. No longer will you need the old dial and lock torque wrenches, this little guy actually clips onto your standard 1/2'’ drive ratchet or breaker bar, you dial up the load you want, and pull. It will beep as you get close to your load setting, and the beeps come faster until you reach the specified torque.

Titan Tools Digital Torque Adapter

I got my hands on one from the warehouse, and I have to say, this is a slick little unit. Overall length, counting the shank is about 3.5 inches, and weighs in around 1.5 pounds. It acts almost like an extension as well, and there are definitely times where that is nice.

It has the ability to store up to ten preset torque settings, 5 different units of measure, a digital display that is backlit, and as an added bonus, it even has an adaptor so you can check the calibration on your mechanical torque wrenches. It comes packaged neatly in a small plastic blow-molded case for easy storage.

One of the modes built into the unit is a “Track” Mode. This allows for a constant readout of the applied torque, making it easier to apply the right amount evenly and safely. There is also a “Peak Hold” Mode of operation that will display the percentage of torque applied at a given moment, and once desired torque is reached an audible alert will sound, in addition to a flash from the LED indicator.

All in all, this would be a handy addition to any toolbox. To see all the Titan products Speedway Motors carries, Click Here.
