In 1952, BMC offered a pedal car series originally dubbed the Sportster. An oval-shaped, open grille gave these cars the nickname, Fish Mouth. The sedan Fish Mouth cars were offered in many variations. In 1954, after the AMF company purchased BMC, an embossed rear continental kit and front end styling modification, gave us the AMF Star Grille. Many of these cars are around today and all the parts and accessories to restore your Fish Mouth or Star Grille, can be found at Blue Diamond Classics.
