Info

The Street Demon redefines the street carburetor with clean looks and ease of use! It offers enthusiasts a straight–forward carburetor designed to deliver a stable idle, amazingly crisp throttle response and smooth performance. Its optimized calibration and dual mounting pattern make it Run–Ready™ for a large variety of engines and vehicles! Get one today and experience Performance That's Out of This World!

  • 750 CFM airflow - ideal for use on most modified small blocks and most stock or mildly modified big blocks
  • Dual mounting bolt pattern - fits most aftermarket spread/square bore intake manifolds without adapter
  • Electric Choke Management means easy cold starts
  • Single fuel inlet for simple installation
  • Integrated fuel bowl/main body design with gasket above fuel level and no plugged passages to eliminate all potential leak paths
  • Small 1-11/16” primary throttle bores combined with proven Triple-Stack™ boosters deliver amazingly crisp throttle response and drivability, superior fuel atomization and improved fuel economy
  • Goggle Valve Secondary (GVS™) throttle plate delivers over twice the air flow of the primary bores for power you can hear and feel
  • GVS™ makes total air flow 750 CFM while maintaining the crisp throttle response delivered by small primary bores
  • Secondary air valve control - torsion spring valve control/adjustment permits seamless primary to secondary throttle response regardless of the throttle opening rate (unique contoured profile developed for better cylinder to cylinder fuel distribution)
  • Blown idle circuit that diverts air directly under mixture screws for a more stable idle and easy startup
  • One-piece air horn assembly
  • 2 Stage metering rod control easily accessible without carburetor disassembly or removal
  • Integrated 700R4/200R4 transmission kickdown cable mounting location for proper shifts
  • Ford A/T kickdown (does not work with AOD transmissions)

Designed for use on most stock to mildly modified V8s. Single fuel inlet for simple installation (no extra parts required for drop base air cleaners). Includes inverted flare and 3/8” barb fuel inlet fittings.

Testimonials

"The cam in my El Camino is a bit too big, which makes life tough for the carburetor. I was pleasantly surprised by how well that Street Demon worked right out of the box on my combination. It has excellent part throttle response."
––Jeff Smith, Senior Tech Editor, Car Craft Magazine

"I put the new Street Demon carb on my '72 D100 shop truck with a 400 horsepower 318, and it fired up and idled like it was pre–tuned for my engine, and has performed flawlessly ever since!"
––Steve Dulcich, Editor, Engine Masters Magazine

"We haven't been working on my son's Mustang since he's been having some health issues and I've been out of work for almost two months but I finally installed the Street Demon on his best friend's Monte Carlo SS. He has a 1984 Monte Carlo SS with a mild 355" Chevy, 1.94/1.50 valve heads, COMP Cams 268H camshaft, mid–length headers, automatic w/stock converter and 3.55 gears. The car had an Edelbrock 750 on top of a Weiand Stealth intake but that thing was a turd. It was killing him in gas money. I managed to get it tuned fairly close but it was still too much carb. He was getting 11–12 mpg in town and 15 on the highway. Car ran 14.77 at 94 mph. Real pig out of the hole too. I swapped the 625 Street Demon on the car and only needed to turn the idle screw a half turn to get it set at 700–800 rpm. Manifold vacuum was up to 15" from 12".

"We did the swap at HRP on a Friday night T&T session. Three runs at 14.75–79 with the Edelbrock. Swapped the Demon and went 14.25 at 98 mph. Two more runs netted 14.25 and 14.27 both at 98 mph. Took two full tenths off the sixty foot times. He just finished his second full tank on the carb and we've seen solid 14 mpg in town. No road trips yet but I'd expect it to pull down 17–18 mpg on the highway. The car is easier to drive now and doesn't smell like burnt fuel when sitting at a red light. Even his girlfriend noticed the difference. She didn't know we did the swap."
––S.D. Wheeler, ShadowLands Racing
