Info

Rotating assembly for your small block Chevy 305. Designed for use with Sprint Car racing applications (Racesaver 305), this kit comes with crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, rings, and all bearings necessary.

Kit Includes:

  • Manley 190310 Forged Crankshaft
    • 2 piece rear main seal
    • OEM "appearing"
    • Not drilled on second/third rod throws
    • No knife edge or undercut
    • 48 - 50 lbs total weight
    • 3.480" stroke
    • 5.700" min rod length
    • 2.450" main journal diameter
    • 2.100" rod journal
    • 1800 gram bob weight
  • MAHLE Small Block Chevy 305 PowerPak Pistons
    • Race proven lightweight forged design that are complete with rings, wrist pins, and locks
    • Made from 4032 aluminum alloy to allow for tighter cylinder to wall clearances, and improved temperature stability
    • Forged piston for performance applications fully-machined crown
    • Lightweight slipper kirt forgings
    • 1.5, 1.5, 3.0mm file fit performance ring set included. For 305 c.i. S/B Chevy (3.736" bore x 3.48" stroke)
      • C/R 58cc:  10.0
      • C/R 64cc:  9.3
      • C/R 70cc:  8.7
  • King HP Series Chevy Main Bearings
    • Bi-metal aluminum silicon alloy featuring fine micro-bore finish
    • Mains and rods are narrowed for large radius crankshafts
    • Mains are 3/4 grooved for improved oiling to the rod journals
    • Greater rod bearing height improves bearing-to-bore contact/heat transfer and reduces spin potential at high RPM

Notes

  1. Phosphate coating provides the grey appearance to the Mahle piston. This dry lubricant coating (not to be confused with a thermal film coating) provides a lubricant film in the pin bores and ring grooves until the oiling system of the engine reaches operating pressure; particularly useful during the initial start-up or break-in of engines to protect against galling and microwelding. The piston crown is still machineable.
  2. The location to measure piston-to-wall clearance for each application. This point is calculated from the bottom of the piston skirt and indicates the widest part of the piston and thus where to measure.
