Proper Seating Means Proper Car Control

Any racer will tell you that a good aluminum racing seat and harness will do more for car control than about any other interior aspect of a race car. Sure, steering wheel and pedal placement is important, as is shifter location, gauges, and outward visibility, but with the wrong seat you’re spending more time fighting body movement and hanging on to the steering wheel than you are controlling the race car’s position on track. Not to mention a poor fitting or improperly secured seat is a recipe for bodily injury and driver fatigue in longer races.

Using quality lightweight racing seats in conjunction with a properly installed and fitted racing harness gives you an advantage. That advantage is precise car control. With a fitted aluminum racing seat and being properly belted in with a harness your body is secure and “one” with the chassis. You are no longer fighting the g-forces of the track and can put all your effort into steering control, throttle and braking application, and so forth. You’d be surprised what a difference, even in a short race, what you can accomplish once you’ve experienced a properly fitted/sized seat in your race car.

Aluminum Racing Seats Provide Strength and Lighter Weight

There are a lot of options out there when it comes to aluminum racing seats and most of them are made from aluminum. Aluminum is a strong, yet light, material that is used extensively in motorsports. So, we made sure our Budget Aluminum Stock Car Seat was made from aluminum as well. 5052 aluminum is a high-strength aluminum alloy and perfect for a racing seat. It has good corrosion resistance and is easy to form. All of this means you get a long-lasting racing seat that will serve you well season after season. Our 5052 .125-inch-thick aluminum race seat features strengthening beads throughout and can be used with five- or six-point harnesses thanks to the seat back and seat bottom harness pass through holes. A standard 20-degree layback angle ensures driver comfort even in the longest of heats. This aluminum race seat is perfect for Hobby Stock, Street Stock, IMCA Modified, Sport Mod, and Late Model race cars. It will also suit rally, off-road, and road race drivers as well with 14 (14.5"), 16 (15.5") and 18 (17.5") inch widths available.
