I put a small flat blade screwdriver against the female end. Pulled strap tight with pliers. A couple more straps of each would be nice.

The strap is proper width and is stainless but cannot be tightened sufficiently as there is no mechanism to draw it tight and ro hold the tension. Stainless Steel does not stretch by simply pulling it by hand.. The heat immediately loosens the clamp and the wrap loosens as well. A regular hose clamp works much better because it can be tightened under tension with the screw mechanism...just saying

How do you draw the strap tight and then secure the clamping mechanism? Is there a tool that is needed? The kit I purchased had only the straps, no clamps or screws.
