The air coming into the air cleaner is pulled from each direction and tends to crash into itself when it meets above the carb, which causes turbulence. This insert slides over the air cleaner stud and directs the air down into the carb, eliminating that turbulence. For Holley 4 bbl carbs only. Easy 5 minute installation!
