Rugged, powerful, shockproof - perfect!
This particular Optima battery was purchased to replace a stock 6V battery in a 1946 Willys. Perfect! Almost double the cold cranking amps in a well built, almost indestructible case and no maintenance with the rolled mat cell technology. Superior heat resistance, vibration proof and charges easy with the original 6V generator. Should have upgraded a long time ago!

Works great to crank over my flathead but being half the width of a standard battery it can be a challenge to secure if you're wanting to use your existing tray. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind. That said if you're building something custom, it's small footprint and the ability to lay it on it's side would be a great option.

I used this product in my 1953 Ford F250. I had previous converted from positive ground with a generator to negative ground with an alternator. The Optima 6 volt battery works great and the smaller size made installation covenant.
