Overall Assessment

Product assembly tends to be easy and fun, with most of the assembly completed beforehand. It's appropriate for children, but may be too small for some kids as they grow. The product is sturdy, completed mostly with simple attachments like the steering wheel and wheels. However, customers have voiced concerns about the product being made in China and sharp edges, which could be safety hazards. They recommend refining details for better protection. Despite these issues, customers still recommend the product for its overall quality and usability.

My six year old nephew helped me assemble this pedal car in less than an hour. It used simple tools and included easy to follow instructions. Most of the assembly was already done when it came out of the box. All we had to do were simple little things like add the steering wheel, attach the wheels and attach the hubcaps. Fun things my nephew easily did with a little guidance. He might be a bit tall to drive it comfortably for much longer. That's what's frustrating about pedal cars - by the time the child is old enough to pedal the weight of the car, he might be too big to drive the car. But it was a fun project and they make great gifts and raffle items.

When we got this car, even though it came in so quickly and packaged quite heartily, we were a bit disappointed due to seeing that it was "Made in China". My wife told me to child-proof the steering wheel, grill and side holes due to sharp edges, so I addressed 2 of the 3. I covered the steering wheel with self-vulcanizing electrical tape and I sanded down the grille, but I didn't fix the 6 side holes. It came 98% assembled and we can't figure out why they shipped it with the steering wheel detached. I was able to adjust the pedals to the shortest length and we will see if the turning 2 grandson can pedal it. We added reflector tape in the front and reflectors in the back, but would have liked to have added LED lights and seatbelt, plus a cushioned back piece for the seat. Until they make one in America, I would recommend this one.
