A driver's ability to function is impaired by heat and dehydration. Using a helmet pumper to blow air across your face makes you feel better, but it does not actually cool you. The only way to effectively lower your body temperature is to cover at least 30% of your body in something cool. That's where the CoolShirt comes in.
The CoolShirt Systems Kwik Kool uses one ozone safe freon can that can provide up to one hour of cooling. Requires no ice and weighs less than one pound. The 100% white cotton shirt has over 50 feet of medical grade tubing stitched to it which covers 30% to 40% of the skins surface, giving you maximum contact area where it is needed. Plus, all Cool Shirts are HANS-friendly and are made in the USA!
Cool Shirt Systems help racers perform at their best by:
- Improved reaction times
- Reduces sweating
- Reduces dehydration, leading to faster decision making and fewer mistakes
- Reduces heart rate
- Helps maintain a safe core body temperature
Each system includes one shirt (available in sizes S-XL) and one disposable freon can with adapter.

With no plumbing or large cooler to install this is a great value. It works well and provides cooling only when you need it. The cans of refrigerant last me for a 45 minute race with no problem
