Never butt tubes together without inserting a slug first.  Use these CNC turned inserts to give your bottom rail joint proper alignment and strength. 

Repair slug is1.190" o/d x 0.090" wall thickness x 3" long to be used inside 1-3/8" x 0.095" wall tubing

Application

Repair slug fits inside 1-3/8" o/d x 0.095" wall tubing.
