Speedway Motors 91032004 Details

Replace those old drum brakes with modern rear disc brakes. Designed for high-performance applications, this kit includes AFCO F88 forged aluminum brake calipers with staggered forged pistons, a stiffer body, and less drag. Mounts .81" x 11-3/4" Pro-lite vented iron rotors and calipers to a Ford 9" rear end with Big Ford New Style bearings. Complete with rotors, hats, AFCO F88 calipers, bearing retainers, brake pads, caliper brackets, and slider bolts.

Steel hat fits 5 lug hubs with 4-1/2", 4-3/4", or 5" bolt circle.

Every rotor is cast from premium grade, long grain carbon iron which exhibits long wear, high thermal stability, and excellent resistance to distortion in high heat. Modern foundry and machining techniques hold close tolerances on face and vane thickness. Combining the correct face thickness with a 32 vane casting provides superior heat management and long service life with low rotating and unsprung weight. The straight vane design also makes it possible to use the same rotor on left or right hand mounting locations.

(2) AFCO F88 Forged Aluminum Calipers

AFCO's F88 forged aluminum brake caliper has been produced to provide you with the best caliper in asphalt racing. This F88 caliper is 30% stiffer to give a better feel on and off the brakes to allow the least amount of drag. This F88 caliper is designed to be used with an .810" wide rotor with a 3.5" bolt pattern. The caliper has 1-1/4" x 1-3/8" staggered forged pistons.

(1) Set of AFCO C1 Compound Brake Pads for F88 Calipers

The C1 brake pad compound was designed and developed to meet the braking needs of medium to high temperature racing applications. As brake system temperatures quickly increase and decrease, C1 provides consistent performance while remaining fade resistant. C1 has proven to be extremely rotor friendly and provides exceptional pad life without requiring lengthy pad break-in (bedding) procedures.

C1 is widely used in dirt track racing and is the ultimate pad for all medium temperature applications. Recommended temperature use: 400-900 degrees.

These brake pads from Afco are designed to fit the new F88 caliper or a standard SL style caliper. The C1 pad compound is designed for medium to low brake temperatures and provide good cold bite while being rotor friendly.

Best used on:

  • Front of dirt late models
  • Rear of asphalt late models
  • Any drilled rotor

These shim kits are intended to service F88, F33, and F22 forged aluminum AFCO calipers.

Racer Note: Racing brake calipers, if properly maintained, can generally be used for several racing seasons. Frequent replacement of the caliper pistons and seals will increase caliper life and performance.
