AED Performance spent 3 years testing to improve intake charge distribution under high g-force loading. The Vortex spacer was designed specifically to produce results under race conditions. The Vortex spacer is designed to provide a more directed path for the air fuel charge to the intake runners, which creates a more balanced A/F ratio between cylinders & cylinder banks. This will also help horsepower and torque, especially under high loading conditions. The Vortex spacer is unique in that it can be "tuned" to a particular application by simply changing out the length of the distribution tip or leaving it out altogether. This allows a first time racer to fine tune intake plenum distribution for maximum performance.

The following torque and horspower values are not guaranteed, however, a 604 Crate engine on 91 octane gas on Oct 9th, 2015 without spacer had a dyno run that provided an average torqe of 417.12 and horsepower of 381.00 for the rpm range of 4000 to 5600. With the same engine and configuration immediately tested with the single addition of this spacer with the long cone provided an average torque of 427.49 and horsepower of 390.42 through the same 4000 to 5600 rpm curve.
