This radiator has a 1 3/4" lower hose and 1 1/2" upper hose configuration. That will match up with most all common SBC engines and water pumps. Nearly every water pump I sell for a SBC engine will have a 1 3/4" hose connection which will match up to this radiator.

I bought this radiator and i'm looking for a fan/shroud combo. What do you recommend? It must be fully shrouded to pass Pennsylvania street rod laws. Pennyslvania law says that when not running no hood. A fan must be of the kind where no one could accidentally come into contact with the fan blades at anytime.

On the 28/29 radiator a fan and shroud combo commonly used is the style 70 number 91015672. If your state requires the blades to have more of a guard then one of the electric fans such as number 91015449-16 or possibly 910153-16 may better fit your needs along with the appropriate mounting kit. On a mechanical fan the best to offer is shroud number 58066641 or 58066642.

Radiator 820Z4871 for the 28/29 Model A has an overflow hose and if you run an expansion tank will keep the radiator full for maximum cooling efficiency. If you desire not to run the tank the radiator will simply not be full to the cap and once the engine warms up the expanded coolant will dump out the overflow hose.
