Mounted these to the seat mount brackets and them to the seat mount to install a Caravan middle bench seat in my street rod. Everything worked fine after alterations to the seat mount. Thanks !!!

great sliders

By tgd61 from California on 6/14/2010
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

bought these to go with the bomber seats. Fabricated my own mounting brackets to get the seat angle where I wanted it. Good amount of adjustment, low profile. Worked out great!

Good product

By Dave W from Upstate NY on 9/11/2010
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

These seat sliders are surprisingly heavy duty and well made in Indonesia (instead of China). I'm currently installing them on some bomber style seats in a '31 Ford roadster and the first one is working very nicely with the second being finished as soon as I complete this review.. Instead of permanent studs, I would have preferred screw in/removable bolts or studs as as I'm using them upside down and designing the risers would have been easier. Secondly, a simple picture of how they assemble would have been nice These are the reason for only 4 stars

Q:

how do I make these work for a bench seat? actually intend to use them to make a sliding sofa/bed application for an RV - current situation is that in order to make the sofa/sleeper fold out into the size I wanted i had to mount it farther from the wall than I want and now I want to be able to slide it back about 4" when in upright position and then latch - when read to fold down into bed I would unlatch and slide forward and then recline back to bed position.

Q:

do you have a longer cable/wire link for sale? These seat sliders mount directly to the seat mount plates number 91070027 and for the riser part number 91070025 if needed. To use on a wider stance than a single seat is possible but the cable/wire link that connects from one side to the other would require lengthening to the appropriate length for the custom application. This is what releases both sides at the same time for sliding forward or back.
