This is my first solo build. 1953 F100 flathead V8 3-5/16 bore 3.75 stroke, Offy heads, isky 88 cam. I am debating between the two and the three carbs on the offy intake kits. My question is fuel pump. I am not sure which fuel pump to use. Will the stock mechincal pump work or do I need to upgrade to an electric fuel pump and which do you recomend?

This kit is an intake by Offenhauser and two 9 Super 7 carburetors. Depending on personal preference and other criteria you may want to opt for a 3 carb intake kit. This is all determined by preference and driving requirements. The stock pump will satisfy the needs of stock and mildly built engines and again related to performance and driving requirements. We offer stock mechanical pumps for the various years of the flatheads. For the 1953 as an example we have part number 56052656. For ease of starting a lot of customers choose to go with an electric so that if the vehicle sits for an extended time frame the engine will not require lengthy cranking for the mechanical pump to get fuel to the engine. If running the original 6 volt system we offer part number 9104259 as a 6 volt electric pump or an economical 12 volt pump under part number 91011520. In either case the need for a pressure regulator is present and we offer a 1-6 lb. regulator under part number 56058500.
