Suspension Front Solid Axle Design

Add Article To List

It's Hard to Deny Tradition and Simplicity

It’s the modern age in technology and it’s just a fact that we ride to the grocery store in complete comfort. Independent front suspensions have been around for decades now, but for many street rodders, maintaining the simplicity and style of a traditional beam or tube axle front suspension trumps the idea of installing a more modern suspension on their hot rod. This is particularly true for those building nostalgia-style fenderless rods. By maintaining a solid front axle, rodders are paying respect to time-honored design and hot rodding heritage.

Simple as they are, solid-axle front suspensions may still seem like a bit of a mystery to rodders who didn’t grow up in the early days of hot rodding. Don’t worry, though. With a little help, we can show you the ins and outs to building a solid axle front suspension and selecting the right parts for your application.
